Columbus Rugby is still looking for additional athletes interested in learning and playing Rugby.
The Columbus Rugby Football Club consists of a boys and a girls rugby team. Both compete in the Rugby Indiana Union. The club began play in the Spring of 1997, and is open to all high school students willing to make the commitment to a multi school team sport.
Rugby is a club sport, operating under the guidance of the Indiana Youth Rugby Foundation, Rugby Indiana, USA Rugby and the International Rugby Board. Rugby is a contact sport, which requires the endurance of soccer, the tackling skills of football and the teamwork of basketball. Rugby is played in over 92 countries world wide. There are approximately 25 boys high school teams in Indiana and 17 girls teams. Rugby is played on close to 500 college campuses in the U.S. with 8 Indiana campuses offering men's rugby and 10 local colleges offering women's rugby.

The pre-season kicks off with a Lock-In during the first weekend in February.
The season begins with preseason training. The first game is at the Rugby Indiana U-19 Central Jamboree. Pre-season practice sessions are held throughout the week.
